Cancun...Wedding #1

Johnny and I just returned from our friends wedding in Mexico. We spent four nights at Dreams resort with several friends and family members of Lindsey and Bryan. There were around 40 people there for the wedding. We had a great time.

Most of the week we spent hanging out by the pool and ocean. We got adventurous and went to the local stores one morning. The wedding was Friday evening July 3rd. After that we all went to have dinner at Carlos N Charlies. It was very loud and overstimulating for me. I needed some OT by the time I left there!

Birthday

This is of course two weeks behind, but I had to post some pictures of my birthday. We began the weekend with Dinner at Mojitos in Fayetteville followed by a delicious cookie cake. Johnny was extra proud of himself because he even asked to have m & m's baked in.

Saturday we headed to Kansas City. It did take us FOREVER to get out of town due to breakfast delimas at fast food restaurants, but we made it. We had a great weekend in Kansas City. We ate lunch at cheesecake factory and tried to be a little more creative with dinner.

My mom came to take me to dinner on Monday and we got the chance of introducing her to sushi. She has resisted it her entire life, but she knows better now.

Wisdom Teeth

I am a little slow posting these days, but Johnny had his wisdom teeth removed a few weeks ago and I couldn't let the event go by without posting the pictures. He has been needing his wisdom teeth removed for years and has put it off due to extreme fear of anything medical. He has never been in a hospital, had an IV or taken a prescription pain pill. This was a huge event for him. It went well with the exception of a root being left due to it's proximity to a nerve. His mouth did bleed for 7 hours before showing any signs of slowing down. He was a trooper and slept it off. I even had friends over the night of his surgery, he just laid in bed and sent me a text (he couldn't open his mouth to holler) when he needed something :).

Scrapblog.Com - My newly discovered website!

I recently (with the help of Amy) discovered an exciting new website, scrapblog.com, which is where my blog header came from. I think the point of the site is to pay money to buy stickers, outlines, fonts, and backgrounds to create your own designs, however they also offer free (less detailed) designs!!!. There is also the option to use their designs to create entire scrapbooks or photo albums. So anyone who is interested in scrapbooking, but needs a little guidance or doesn't have a lot of free time, check out this new website. You can even "invite" people to look at the pages you have created. It might just be the next facebook!

Happy Birthday Gran Gran

We have been pretty busy with birthday's lately. My grandma celebrated her 70th birthday on Friday April 10. Saturday our family got together to surprise her. My family lives in Alma, Holiday Island, and Tulsa, so Johnny and I seem to be the central location for everyone to meet. We had lunch at a mexican restaurant in town. Then we came back to our house for cake. The men then decided to sit and watch golf all afternoon...BORING....and the kids and women colored and hunted eggs and enjoyed the wonderful weather we were having.

Pizza Night

Saturday was an eventful day... Amy and I planned to spend the day in Tulsa, wedding dress shopping. We left at 8:00 that morning with it pouring in sleet. Before we got to Siloam Springs we were hitting slick spots on the road and passed a wreck on a bridge. We sat in wal-mart parking lot in Siloam Springs while deciding what to do. We then turned around and headed back home (which I have to add was a good idea because Tulsa was hit hard with snow). An hour after we got home the sun was shining and there was nothing coming down, so we then headed for Fort Smith. She did find a few options in Fort Smith and is now feeling the pressure to make a purchase. She only has 7 months to go.

That night it was cold and snowing again so we decided to stay at my house and make our own pizza's. I made the dough and then we split it and topped our pizza's.

Happy 50th Birthday!

March 21st was my mom's 50th birthday. Gran gran, Leslie and I took her to Kansas City for a few days on a girls trip. We stayed at the plaza and spent the majority of the time shopping and eating. We celebrated her birthday at the Melting Pot, and it was delicious. We also got makeovers at Bare Escentuals which was pretty entertaining. Sunday night we managed to go see a terrible movie "Duplicity". If you haven't seen it, don't waste your time. Monday we went to Union Station along with a few other places off the plaza. By Monday night we were tired and ready to relax. We had cheesecake for dinner and stayed in the hotel and played Farkle. It is a dice game, kind of like yahtzee but not really. It was a fun weekend, but we were all ready to get home.
